Presidents Golf Course is a Public 18 hole golf course located in North Quincy, Massachusetts. The entire course is situated on 93 acres and offers dramatic views of the Boston skyline, Neponset River, and the Blue Hills Reservation.
Presidents Golf Course first opened for play in 1885. The course was designed by George Wright. This club was originally founded as Wollaston Country Club and has been listed by the USGA as one of the first 100 clubs established in the U.S. It was also named to "GOLF Magazine's" 1995 list of the "First 100 Clubs in America." Wayne Stiles (1920), William F. Mitchell (1956), and George and Tom Fazio (1976) have done redesigns on the course.
Francis Ouimet used the course for his practice rounds prior to competing in the British Opens and Amateurs. He found the wind conditions and the wide variety of topography well suited for the preparation needed to compete overseas.
In the early 1970's the members of the Wollaston Golf Club constructed their new championship course in Milton. The County of Norfolk rebuilt the course. George and Tom Fazio were retained to redesign the course. The goal was to modernize it and accommodate public play. The course re-opened as the Presidents Golf Course at the Wollaston Recreational Facility in 1976.
Presidents Golf Course was built on hilly terrain, but it has wide-open fairways. Reading the undulation in the greens is key to scoring well on this course. Water hazards come into play on two holes.
Par for the course is 70. From the back tees the course plays to 5,750 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 4,425 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 12, a par-5 that plays to 510 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 2, a par-3 that plays to 115 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 15, a 500 yard par-5 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Presidents Golf Course is # 2, the 115 yard par-3.
The par 70 course features six par threes, testy par fours and the signature par 5 15th double dog leg par five. The wind, hilly terrain, and the influence of the Atlantic Ocean give the Presidents Golf Course a unique character that provides an excellent golfing experience.

Great greens, short course. If you are a 15 handicap or lower, play the back tees. #15 best par 5 in Boston
