Manistee National Golf & Resort, is a Resort, 36 hole golf facility located in Manistee, Michigan. The facility has two 18 hole courses: Canthooke Valley Golf Course and Cutters’ Ridge Golf Course.
The Canthooke Valley course opened in 1993. The course was designed by Gary Pulsipher.
The course winds through rolling hardwoods and a white pine forest. The fairways have generous landing areas. However, the moderate-sized, bentgrass greens are well-bunkered, and ponds, marshes, and trees threaten your path to the greens
Par for the course is 71. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,517 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 4,836 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 10, a par-5 that plays to 520 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 17, a par-3 that plays to 143 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 5, a 447-yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 17, a 143 yard par-3.

fall in Northern Michigan is terrific, especially when the weather is 75. Nice courses Cutter Ridge too much like Florida, but Chinnook Valley is a tree lined ole' gem

I'm an average golfer. I liked that I wasn't dodging water. I'm often on one side of the fairway or the other, and could find/play my ball in the trees. I shot a high score on the back nine, but wasn't frustrated, so I must have enjoyed myself.
