The El Dorado Country Club golf course opened in 1962. The course was designed by Walt Lorang.
The El Dorado Country Club golf course offers enough variety of terrain and hazards to please all skill levels of golfer. The fairways afford generous landing areas and the large greens are soft enough to hold your shots. Water hazards (ponds) come into play on twelve holes. The fairways are tree lined and bordered by a deep cut of rough, and the terrain varies in undulation.
Par for the course is 70. From the back tees the course plays to 5646 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 4771 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 16, a par-5 that plays to 480 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 3, a par-3 that plays to 106 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 1, a 346 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 17, a 134 yard par-3.
El Dorado Country Club closed in 2008. It is being redeveloped as the Commerce Township City Center.
