We decided to take advantage of the Fall Senior prices of $25 18/cart and play this rolling, treelined 1967 R.W. Bills/Leon Jackson designed layout. Being a township municipal owned/operated course has favored this one quite well for playing and overall conditions. Most of the leaves have been mowed/picked up in the fairway and rough. Both green-side and fairway sand traps hadn't been raked, but the sand was still blast-able and would be a lot better during regular season as they were kept edged nicely. Having the four (4) tee's gives great choices from Blue's @ 6,787yds / 72.4 / 125 down to Red's @ 5,145yds / 68.8 / 116 on this Par 36/35 layout. The Front 9 starts right out with a 433yd Par 4 that has well positioned trees lining the fairway to protect its Hcp 2 rating. The #2 Par 5 is a Hcp 5 at 526yds and throws water right/trees left on those first two (2) shots, finishing with a elevated green with three (3) traps. The #7 dogleg left Par 4 at 409yds has outside corner traps and inside large tree that needs 215yd drive to see green. The #8 is a 506yd Par 5 that requires a 220-230yd drive to see around corner, water on RH side to catch your 2nd shot thats narrow all the way to elevated tipped green. The Back 9 starts out with a 90 degree dogleg right 414yd Par 4 that needs a 215-230yd tee and has water bordering outside/inside corner on this Hcp 3 hole. The #12 Par 4 has a 180yd tee water carry on this 403yd slightly uphill hole. The #14 is another dogleg right 394yd Par 4 that has a 180yd tee water carry to the 200-230yd corner and uphill tipped green. The #18 is a dogleg left 396yd hole with L/R fairway traps at corner that needs 215yd tee to view green. Almost all of these greens have a natural tip that is hard to detect until someone putts that me struggling shooting 89 w/38putts and Mark P at 87 w/36 putts on this beautiful 60 degree Fall day.
