Detailed description of Quitman Country Club
Quitman Country Club is a Semi-Private, 18 hole golf course located in Quitman , Mississippi.
Quitman Country Club first opened for play in 1974. The course was designed by Gary Cranford and Wallace Eddins.
A shotmaker's course, Quitman Country Club demands accuracy because of its small greens. The landing areas are narrow in the fairways and bordered by mature pine trees. Water hazards (the Cedar Creek and two lakes) come into play on ten holes. #9, is a 159-yard, par 3, requiring at least a 120 yard tee shot over a lake to an elevated green. The signature hole is #15, a 473-yard, par 5 with an island green. The public is welcome to play this course.

White tees: par-72, 5,613 yards, 66.1/109
Red tees: par-72, 4,823 yards, 69.4/112
$26 (cart included), played on Saturday, September 2011 at 8am
It is now a 18 hole course and public.
