Greenbriar Hills Country Club is a Private 18 hole golf course located in Kirkwood, Missouri.
Greenbrier opened for play in 1927. The original 18 hole course was located completely to the south of the railroad tracks. The holes south of the railroad tracks, were a part of the original course. In the 1960's, the highway department purchased properties from the Club and property owners for creation of Interstate Highway 270. The Club then purchased land, north of the railroad tracks, to develop the present holes from 3 to 15 (excluding 8, 9, 10 and 11). Later, the property for holes 8 through 11 was purchased. The golf course has undergone many improvements over the years. The course was designed by Ron Prichard.
This exceptionally hilly course requires accurate shots, good club selections, and solid course management. The undulating greens are medium-sized.
Par for the course is 71. From the back tees the course plays to 6,453 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5237 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 6, a par-5 that plays to 5,66 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 10, a par-3 that plays to 131 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 4, a 408 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 10, the 131 yard par-3.
