Marias Valley Golf & Country Club is a Semi-Private, 18 hole golf course located in Shelby, Montana.
The course first opened for play in 1967. Norman H. Woods designed the course.
The course is situated in a valley basin alongside the Marais River. Native cottonwood and poplar trees line the fairways, and the greens are extremely large and feature two separate flagstick placements, one for the front nine and one for the back nine. A pond comes into play on hole #8. An additional set of men's tees can be used when playing an eighteen-hole round.
The signature hole is #8, a 600-yard, par 5, featuring a dogleg left fairway and requiring an approach shot over a creek guarding the front of the green
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,784 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5,025 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 8, a par-5 that plays to 600 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 6, a par-3 that plays 164 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 4, a 567-yard par-4 challenge, and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 12, a 360 yard par-4.
