Wolf Creek Golf Course, is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Mesquite, Nevada.
Wolf Creek golf course first opened for play in 2000. The wickedly tough but beautiful par 72 course was designed by Dennis C. Rider.
Lets begin with some statistics. Wolf Creek plays to 6,994 yards from the back "Challenger" tees. The USGA rated Wolf Creek at a 75.4 and a slope of 154. The max allowable USGA slope is 155. Think extreme. The USGA also ranked Wolf Creek the 3rd most difficult course in America.
The 18-hole roller coaster ride of a golf course takes you over, around, and through the canyons of Mesquite. The layout mesmerizes and challenges players from start to finish, no matter your playing ability.
Wolf Creek is a gem. With it's canyon walls, lush fairways, and dramatic lakes and waterfalls. You will always remember your round at Wolf Creek with tee boxes that appear to be 10 stories high hitting down to wide, green fairways. The carries over canyon walls on a few holes are intimidating, yet you will feel empowered standing high above the fairway. The fairways are wide, the greens are not too fast, and the elevated tee boxes will allow you to hit drives 20 to 30 yards further than normal.
If you're in Vegas and thinking about golfing, head 75 minutes up I15 and play Wolf Creek.
Challenger tee: 6,994 yards, course rating 75.4, slope rating 154.

We played at the least expensive time of the year, in the heat of the summer, and it was 102 F out there.
It's an amazing course. It is now my favorite of all the courses that I have ever played.
I really enjoyed that I first had the opporunity to get to know the course from the Tiger Woods EA Sports game. I played it in a virtual world and then played it in real life. The course is very accurately represented in the video game. Nice job!
I would love to play Wolf Creek in the cooler weather of the spring or fall but I wouldn't want to pay the high "in-season" greens fees. I hope to be back, and I hope something happens that allows me to enjoy the course in cooler weather at lower prices!

All golfers, no mater the skill level, should play this course so that they may understand how good PGA Professionals really are.

Awesome.....! I don't know how many times we said that during the round. Has to rank as one of the most unique and beautiful desert courses I've ever played or seen (and I'm from Arizona). It was so nice that I didn't want to make it ugly - so I played the best round all year. Just wished all my golf friends could have been there too. Not exactly sure what I paid for the golf - I got the package deal with the hotel room ($195) and it was certainly worth it.

Most stunning course I've seen, truly amazing. Its a must if your in the area. Would love to see footage of how it was built. I just can't imagine how the designers saw the layout. The course isn't just a visual treat, its playable and very fair if you leave your ego in the car and pick the right tees!

We play this course every year......Twice! If you are a low single digit handicap you need to play the tips once. It gives you a new respect for the course, especially when the wind is blowing. Course is in great shape. The greens can run slow but are well maintained. If you're a long hitter, try and drive the creek on 17. You'll have a wedge in for a legit shot at eagle. Have fun!

Great course with some spectacular views. Conditions were excellent. A must play if you take a golf trip to Mesquite. Worth the price and replay cost was less than $50. We did not have a real long round, just under 5 hours for both our morning round and replay. Some great holes.

Wolf Creek is simply amazing in the fact that you will NEVER play anywhere like it. Unfortunately, recent downgrades in the conditions of the bunkers and other course features it loses some of the luster that it once held. The recommended pace of play from the starter is about 5 hours 40 minutes raelly puts a damper on the day when you should really expect 6 plus hours. This is simply too long for a round of golf, especially at the rates being charged. Tee times are set at a standard 5 minutes and the pace of play would be enhanced by 12-15 minute starts. The bottom line is that if you're in Mesquite, you simply must play Wolf Creek. Even with all of her warts, it is simply an experience that you will only get here!

Visually spectacular course, many quirky holes, amazing conditions of fairways and greens. Definitely a must play! Cons - 6 hour round, a couple weird hole designs, remote location.

Unbeleiveable!! Bring your AAAA game. Changed my game where you are aiming every shot (still not playing well do to this). Everyone should play this course once (with a fore caddie if possible, yardage book not enough). If you are bothered by heights bring your Dr.

I didn't really know what we paid as it was part of a package. Second time we played it. First time back in 2004. We are from the cold area so it was a little to challenging for our second round of golf in 6 months.

Best course I have ever played even if it has been 2 years. It is a roller coaster ride like they say. Shot an 82 last time and it felt like 73. Greens could be nicer but you won't mind. Every hole was unique in it's challenge especially 17. Played in 40 mph winds one day. Last 5 holes straight into the wind. Liked the pro shop and merchandise but staff was way to eager for tips at the end of the round. Live in Wisconsin and believe the tips have a higher slope than Whistling Straits. No place to hit a bad shot. Also they really try to match your ability to the right tees.
