Detailed description of Waumbek Golf Club
Waumbek Golf Club, is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Jefferson, New Hampshire.
Some claim that historic Waumbek Golf Club offers the most picturesque views of any golf course in New England.
Waumbek Golf Club is New Hampshire's oldest 18-hole golf course (built in 1895!) The course was designed by Willie Norton. A. H. Fenn designed the back nine, a year after the front nine opened. Ralph Barton completed a course redesign in 1928.
The course offers breathtaking views of the Presidential Range on every hole. The course is set over the natural contours of the terrain. Water hazards come into play on five holes. The wide fairways are tree lined, and the large greens are fast.
Blue tees: par-71, 6,128 yards, course rating 68.0, slope rating 107.
White tees: par-71, 5,792 yards, course rating 67.0, slope rating 107.
Red tees: par-73, 4,772 yards, course rating 66.0, slope rating 107.

1895 course. Friendly staff. Greens were better than other courses we played in same area.

Have played this course each summer for several years while in the area on Vacation. Will play again and would and have brought friends and family to play. The staff make us feel welcome each year and have even found room for a foursome even during a tournament.
