Detailed description of Sanford Country Club
Sanford Golf Club, is a Semi-Private, 18 hole golf course located in Sanford, Maine.
Sanford golf course first opened for play in 1911. The course was designed by Alex Chisholm and Marvin Armstrong. They laid the course out over rolling hills amid the peaceful wooded setting of eastern pines and white birches
Sanford is open to the public and, with four sets of tees, offers a fair challenge to golfers of all skill levels. The course plays to a par of 72 and a distance of 6,666 yards from the back tee boxes.

I play this course every year I go to Maine. I play with my wife's cousin George Bannister who is a member. I love this course and the lay out is superb. Fairways are wide enough on most holes and from the white tees this is a fairly challenging course. From the black, back tees it would be very competitive. I have a 27 handicap and this course from the blue tee's is a 94 for me. from the white's I would hope to shoot a 88-90. But I do not play a lot. 1x a week, 9 holes, and I am 60 now. thanks for allowing me to talk about this course. I would recommed this course to any one.
