Berkshire Valley Golf Course first opened for play in 2004. The course was designed by Roger G. Rulewich.
The course sits on 600 acres in the picturesque Highlands region of northern New Jersey. This par 71 - 6,800 yard, public golf course presents unique challenges atop the ridge of Green Pond Mountain. The topography and spectacular views of this course make a most rewarding golfing experience.
Berkshire Valley Golf Course plays to a maximum distance of 6,812 for a course rating of 72.2 and a slope rating of 128.

Friendly staff, nice layout, but the fairways and greens are in bad shape with an abundance of unrepaired divots and ball marks. No sand in the sand buckets on the cart to do your own part. Pace of play was ridiculous - we waited for every shot from 1-18, and finished in 4 hours and 55 minutes - totally unacceptable. The only ranger we saw the entire 5 hours were two who brought a cart out when one of our groups broke down. This course is now managed by Billy Casper's Mgmt Co. - not Morris County Park Commission - I'd play elsewhere and am done here.

Could be one of most scenic courses in NJ, however, somewhat spoiled by poor layout of cart paths, minimal on-course facilities and lapses in course maintainance. Most of expensive of Morris County muni's but not clearly as good a value as the others.

We played after aeration of greens; they gave a discount, which was fair. Beautiful setting in a valley, with several fairways along the hillside. For a county course, a bit pricey, but worth it.
