Mount Tabor Country Club, is a Private, 9 hole golf course located in Mount Tabor, New Jersey.
At the end of the summer of 1900, the Tabor Field Club was organized. Since its incorporation in 1904 the name has been changed to the Mount Tabor Country Club. In 1901, this Club opened a golf course consisting of six holes and used tin cans as cups! In 1908, the lowest meadow, previously a marsh, was reclaimed and the golf course extended into nine holes. Today the Mount Tabor golf course is a nine hole course featuring 9 greens and 18 tee boxes. Play on the inbound nine is dramatically different from the front as you approach holes from longer yardages and different angles. The variety of tee areas gives you the "feel" of an 18-hole championship course. This tree-lined course has narrow fairways, small greens, and a lot of lovely scenery. Water hazards (creeks) come into play on six holes. Guests are not allowed to play this course unless accompanied by a club member.
