Very nice course from bag drop through 19th hole. I highly receommend. Some really nice holes, especially the par 3 7th hole - tremendous. Must play!

open to carts except first hole and par threes. This is nice course that seems to be composed of two different nines - the front is a more typical, hilly NJ course; the back is more level with water but with some great vistas. Course amenities are outstanding (great half-way house!); suburb pro shop; club house dining room is much, much better than average. Crystal Springs hotel is part of complex along with Restaurant Latour (World Class). Normally wouldn't recommend vacation trip but the very nice hotel coupled with outstanding dining and the many, many golf courses that are part of this complex make it worth considering.

I brutalized the course, but had a great time. Two negatives. The course was cart path only. With a very hilly course like this, By the end I was exhausted walking from the cart to the ball and back again to get the cart once more. On the first hole, I drove to the side of the course opposite to the cart path (of course). I walked over to the ball, was directed to the wrong ball by a grounds keeper and then on the way back found and hit my own ball. This was not taking too much time, but the starter still shouted from the tee box to hurry up. Give a guy a break, were playing golf, not in a foot race

On course facilities and staff below average - restrooms poorly located and cart girl was virtually non-existent (found her relaxing at the half-way house). I like the second nine better - more Ballyowen like.
