Concord Resort & Golf Club is a Resort, was a 45 hole golf facility located in Kiamesha Lake, New York. The course had two 18-hole golf courses, The International Course and The Monster Course and a 9-hole course, The Challenger Course. The Challenger Course closed in 2002 and The International Course closed in 2009. The resort has also closed, however The Monster Golf Course remains open.
The oldest of the courses was the 9-hole Callenger Course. It opened in 1932 and was designed by Alfred H. Tull. He also designed the International Course. It opened in 1950. The Concord Resort, as well as the Challenger and International Course have closed.
The Monster Course, designed by Joe Finger, opened in 1964. The course has been redesigned by Ron Cutlip and Nicklaus Design Group. The Moster Course is all that remains of what was once the Concord Resort & Golf Club.
The 18-hole Monster Course plays to a par-72 and measures 7,650 yards from the back tees. The "Monster" Golf Course has been rated by Golf Digest as one of America's 100 Greatest Golf Courses.
Most of the course's difficulty is derived from a combination of length, the size and placement of intimidating water hazards, and enormous, undulating greens. Built amid eight large lakes and Kiamesha Creek, water is in play on nine holes. The course features numerous forced carries over these hazards. Add in the sheer length of every hole and the course is worthy of its rating and reputation. Seven of the 10 par-4s are over 410 yards from the white tees and both par-3s on the front exceed 207 yards. The par-3s on the back, while shorter, feature forced carries over water from tee to green.
Monster tees: par-72, 7,650 yards, 76.8 / 137
White tees: par-72, 6,989 yards, 75.3 / 124
Green tees: par-72, 6,068 yards, 72.2 / 127
Red tees: par-72, 5,442 yards, 70.6 / 125

A former Great Course. It has been let go, the greens are in very poor condition, bare spots, plug looking. I hope the owner sells this course and allows someone to restore it to it's former self. Very disappointed.

great history at this course, i hope someone can keep it and make it like it once was. maybe if the new casino comes there, they can fund it to keep it playable. incredibly long and challenging, but what the heck, all courses cant be easy or the game would be boring. i love a challenge and got more than my monies worth. would have loved to have seen it in its heyday.
