Town of Colonie Golf Course is a Public, 36 hole golf facility in Schenectady, New York. Colonie Golf Course has four 9-hole courses, The Red, The White, The Blue, and The Green. These 9-hole courses are combined to form 4 different 18 hole combinations, Blue/Green, Green/Red, Red/White and White/Blue.
The initial 18-holes (White and Blue) opened for play in 1969. They were designed by by William Mitchell. The 18-hole venue provided for an average (sesonal variations) of 35,000 rounds per-year.
The course opened to solid reviews. However, it was soon apparent that new holes were needed to accommodate golf's, and the course's, growing popularity. The Red Course opened for play in 1981. It was designed by Robert Trent Jones. This increased the course playability to 70,000 rounds per year on 27 holes.
Even 27 holes did not yet satisfy the residents golfing appetite. In 1998, the Green Course was added to bring the total number of holes at the Town of Colonie Golf course to 36. This enables golfers to play 744 rounds of golf a day, or up to 100,000 rounds of golf annually.
The Green Course was designed by Rick Jacobson.

Idiot rangers that told my group to hurry up when we were waiting on the group ahead of us, who was waiting on the group ahead of them. These Morons need to go to the top of the log jam instead of pissing off everyone else in the middle. Crappy fairways and poorly maintained greens. Don't waste your money.
