Battenkill golf course opened in 1925. The course is an old classic from the 1920's, small private club feel, but open to public play.

Battenkill Country Club golf course is fair, but challenging. The greens are small and fast, and the fairways range from narrow to wide open. A river winds it way throughout this flat, walkable course and it comes into play several times, including on hole #9, a 545-yard, par 5, with the river bisecting the second half of the fairway. A second set of tees is available to play a double loop eighteen hole round.
