It a tremendous challenge of golf, regardless of which tee you choose to play. The course forces you to make an accurate club selection on most shots, and does not allow you to run the ball up on the green. Once on the green, you must study each putt, regardless of length. The challenge of the course is rewarded by the condition of the fairways and greens, which are normally excellent.

I play this course several times each year. It is a good test for any level golfer.

My group always plays this course in the afternoon on our annual trip, in fact, there are many times that we play it 2 or 3 times during the trip. It is in good shape and the greens are outstanding. It is a hidden gem in the area, I have never seen more than 4 groups on the course when I have been there. The clubhouse has a lot to be desired but at the cheap rate to play I can sacrifice having a great clubhouse.
