Played here 10-18-10 as part of a group, so I don't have a good sense of the price, or of comparisons. However, it is a delightful course, very well designed and maintained, and a real pleasure to play. Only downside from my perspective is the proximity of the houses on a few holes. I prefer a bit more elbow-room, as I have been known to hit it in places far from the fairway... Course has three nines, cleverly named Sand, Piper, and Bay: we played the first two. Pretty honest course, with no gimmicks (like railroad ties), and there is plenty of wildlife about, including alligators. Most of the fairways are pretty wide, and fairway bunkers are well-placed. Greens tended to be pretty large, and played medium fast on 10-19. Bunkers were in decent shape, especially compared to the mud pits at the Sea Trail courses across the road. Staff was very friendly and clearly understood the value of keeping the customer contented. This course is well north of "mainstream" Myrtle Beach, and is near the famed "Big Cats" (Lion, Tiger, Leopard, Panther) as well as Oyster Bay and The Pearl. Thus, it has some serious high-level competition nearby. It compares favorably, IMHO, and I highly recommend.

The Bay nine was fun with all the water. A nice place to play, not too difficult, good for a day out.

I was playing with a local and got a special rate of $39. It was definitely worth that price. We had a monsoon the night before and the course drained very well. The bunkers were the only part of the course that did not play up to the other course standards due to the extreme rain the night before. Quite a good course.

It's not Sandpiper's fault if you don't have a great time there. A very pretty course and community winds all around as you play. 27 holes of variety. Can't beat it for the price. Very excellent conditions all around. Really nice staff. Operation runs well on all levels.

A fantastic 27 hole course I've ever golfed on. We golfed on the Piper and Bay courses. Fairways on both are awesome, the greens on the Piper course are very hard and slick, the Bay greens were firm and able to stick. The only complaint is that they need to repair the ball marks on the greens. Other than that, it's was a course that I would golf on again. I do recommend this course to anyone.

Played this during a tournament so don't have a price to go by. This is a fun course to play but it has very tough competition in the area with the "Cat" and Pearl courses nearby. I beleive it is still worth the drive to play at least once and more if staying within a 1/2 hour drive.
