Traveling through the area in late April and decided to stop in for a 1:30pm tee time. Being a Wednesday ($35 senior) it was fast play shooting 42/39 w/ 34 putts from the blues (6,688yds) in 3.5 hrs, playing through 2 groups. Very challenging tree lined layout, average width fairways, greens holding very good and trees keeping the few side by side holes separated and safe from stray shots. Great yardage book for being a first time player and matched my Sky Caddie very close. Watch #6 split fairway(LH better) and #7 / #17 island greens for yardage as they both are elevated and play shorter than I thought. Worth your stop if driving on the turnpike as its 10 minutes from the toll both. The ranger told me 5hrs is a normal round BUT in the PM 3.5 - 4.0hrs is what I should expect. Looking forward to playing again, in the afternoon.

This course does not deserve the five star ratings on here. The driving range was closed. The staff was in a hurry to get you out. Yes, nice layout and well maintained however, almost rude staff ruined the day.

Played this course several years ago, was awesome, this time the course was in poor shape. Tees beat up, some fairways burned out or just plan missing grass, fixed at least 5 plus ball marks on every green. How did I have the time to fix so many ball marks, well the pace was horrible, took over 5 hours to play a round. When we spoke with the ranger he told us we were 8 minutes behind, this is after he saw 3 groups on a 4th hole, a par 3, then went on to argue with our three groups playing behind us. This ranger should not be dealing with customers, no people skills. Same ranger continued to hound us in our second round in the afternoon that he didn't have us on his tee sheet, but the girls in the snackshop knew all about our 4 groups playing 36 that day. Girls in the snackshop were fantastic, food was very good. Maybe put the snackshop girls out as the ranger!

This is a beautifully designed fair but challenging course. We were staying at a nearby resort, and this course was recommended. An excellent choice. We will definitely be back!
