$16 (cart included), played on Thursday, May 2019 at 3:30 PM

Found myself in the area again for business and decided to try a different track. (Sleepy Hollow is still my #1 area course) They have Thursday leagues on both sides so I needed to tee off by 3:30pm for 9 holes, no problem. Paid $16 for 9/cart but with the recent rainy conditions, it was cart path only. I asked about walking but was told I needed to play the Front 9 and there are some long walks, so in the cart I went. It was a fairly straightaway, tree lined, rolling layout with good looks at the greens. With the four (4) tee boxes you can choose from 3,140yds down to 2,580ys on this Par 35 Front 9 that plays to a 35.5 / 121 . Some narrow cut fairways, well placed trees/traps and elevated greens sneak up on you if you're not paying attention. There are houses that come into view but are placed far enough away not to cause a distraction. I gave the conditions (green and fairways) a lower mark but I'm sure when it dries out these will greatly improve. The #1 Hole 425yd Par 4 is a tough starter being uphill, pond on the right and into the wind. The #4 hole 520yd Par 5 is a narrow fairway, forced carry area at 200-150yds from the green. Then you have an 2 club elevated green to hit and hold to finish it off. Number 7 is a 340yd sharp dogleg right that needs a 210yd carry from the tips to hit the fairway through a narrow tree lined chute. Finishing with a 145-195yd Par 3 that has a 100yd pond in front of tee, to a small green is a fun way to end the Front 9. Enjoyed 1.5hr cart path round shooting 39/16 putts on this overcast but manicured Links layout and not getting rained on. The Back 9 plays 3,075yds Par 36 making it a 6,215yd / 69.9 /121 Par 35/36 total layout. Seniors pay $25 for 18 w/cart all the time....man its great being old.

Would travel: 20-30 Miles, Not Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Average course for the area, Fair priced based on quality and competitive area pricing

Bottom line: Better courses for less nearby, Expensive, but not worth it
