Detailed description of Chehalem Glenn Golf Course
Chehalem Glenn Golf Course is a public 18-hole golf course located 30 minutes southwest of Portland in Newberg, Oregon.
Chehalem Glenn Golf Course first opened for play with 9-holes in July 2005. The course added the back nine in 2007 as per the original plan. The course was designed by William G. Robinson.
The front nine starts off with a forgiving open layout. Once warmed up and feeling pretty comfortable with your game, the back nine presents you with a lot more challenge.Think in terms of forced carries over wide ravines. A swooping, up and down terrain. Tight shots into well-guarded greens.
Chehalem Glenn Golf Course measures 7,054 yards from the tips, with five tee boxes on each hole to accommodate all skill levels.
#10 and #11 are par-4s that start with elevated tee boxes, go way down to cross over ravines and then way back up to elevated greens. #14 is a 597-yard par-5 that requires a tee shot that must cross a ravine and avoid fairway bunkers. The back 9 features has a few large ponds that come into play, unlike the front 9 which is mainly dry.

Ahhhh The Glenn. Situated in Oregon Pinot wine country far enough out of the way to be right on target. Tis my home course at the moment. One of the toughest courses around from back tees. From front tees, its workable, but still tough. Lots of ravines to carry, beautiful farm and vineyard views.
