Del Norte Golf Club is a Semi-Private, 9 hole golf course located a 15-minute drive north of Crescent City, California and a 5-minute drive south of Brookings Oregon.
Del Norte Golf Club first opened for play in 1936.
The Del Norte Golf Course is a secluded course located in the heart of the redwoods alongside Smith River. It is a challenging course to play with flat fairways and with some trees that can alter your shots. The small greens are basically flat, but there are some subtle breaks. A creek comes into play on two holes. The course is within walking distance of the Redwoods National Park. It is a very walkable course but carts are available. The public is welcome.
The men's tees measure 6,117 yards total with 2,996 on the front 9 and 3,121 yards on the "back 9." The ladies tees measure 5,454 yards with 2,623 found on the front 9 and 2,831 on the "back 9." The rates are very reasonable for both 9 and 18 holes.
The course closed in 2018 but reopened in 2020. Del Norte GC reopened after being closed for two years.
The father-son team of Jim and Alan Martin purchased the course from the Elk Valley Rancheria Tribe in July 2019. In addition to course renovations, the pair have refreshed the clubhouse to attract more events.
The course reopened in February, 2020.

Great course for the money, especially for someone like myself who loves the game but doesn't get to play as often as I'd like. I'll definitely play this course again when we're over on the coast.
