Loch Nairn Golf Course is a Public, 18-hole golf course located in Avondale, Pennsylvania,5 miles south of beautiful Longwood Gardens and just south of Kennett Square on the north side of US 1.
Loch Nairn Golf Course opened in 1972. H.C.Smedley designed the course.
Loch Nairn is a good, solid parkland layout with good use of elevation changes, but still walkable. This championship shot makers course with tree-lined fairways, wetlands, streams, and lakes demand precision shots to interesting undulating bent grass greens. The greens are medium-large, with modest contouring, and somewhat slow. There are sand bunkers scattered throughout the design, and water hazards come into play on twelve holes. The course starts out with a 350-yard, par 4, which calls for an approach shot over a creek. This same creek also crosses the fairway on the next two holes.
Loch Nairn Golf Course is a par-70 challenge that measures 6,409 yards from the back tees.
The course closed at the end of the 2022 golf season. The township purchased the land for preservation.

A decent course at a great price. The greens are a little different but fine once you get used to them.
