Paupack Hills Golf & Country Club first opened for play in 1970. The course was designed by Tom and George Fazio.
This exclusive course is open only to the club members and their guests. The course is somewhat narrow, and every hole has out-of bounds stakes lining its fairway. Water hazards come into play on four holes. Many of the tees and large greens are elevated. The greens are extremely undulating, fast and a couple of them are double-tiered. This private course nestled amongst the rolling hills just south of Lake Wallenpaupack provides a beautiful view of the eighteen-mile-long lake.
Paupack Hills Golf & Country Club is a uniquely challenging course, as it wends its way amongst the homes of the Tanglwood Lakes community. The course is a par 71, 6,600 yard course, The championship layout provides a great challenge to players of all abilities. With its 48 bunkers, narrow fairways, five water hazards, and undulating greens, the players face a different challenge at every hole. Three sets of tees give golfers the options of playing the forward tees at 5,400 yards to 6,600 yards from the back tees.

Between the layout and the ambiance it would be hard to match this course

Overall experience was a good one other than the fact that there is way too much OB. Loose shots are way too punitive for me and my group of friends. A number of us were hitting our 3rd/5th shots from the tee which is not a whole lot of fun.
