Detailed description of Brookstone Meadows Golf Course
Brookstone Meadows Golf & Country Club, located in Anderson, in the Upstate of South Carolina, is just minutes from downtown Greenville and Clemson University, while sitting just two hours from both Atlanta and Charlotte. This Tom Jackson signature course is one of the most scenic layouts around.
The 6,685-yard, par-72 course was carefully designed to take full advantage of the natural, rolling terrain of the region. Brookstone Meadows is a “home course†that you can be proud of. The layout features four sets of tee boxes, allowing golfers of all ability levels to enjoy the course.
Course architect Tom Jackson has left his mark not only at Brookstone, but also at the Cliffs at Glassy. Of his work at Brookstone he has said:
“Since I come from Carolina, I'm always proud to design a course that I know will add to the great golfing heritage of this area. For beauty and some very surprising challenges, I rank Brookstone Meadows at the very top of all the courses I've designed.â€

Outside the rough and near edges is awful no grass, just dirt and rocks. Greens were way to hard and fairways like riding in a goat pasture as far as bumpy and just unsmooth. Has possibilty of being best course in the area with very little effort.
Would travel: 0-10 Miles, Not Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Average course for the area, Fair priced based on quality and competitive area pricing

Great course in a wonderful town. Minutes away from Lake Hartwell so it makes for a great vacation golf course.
Would travel: 30-60 Miles, Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Better than average course for the area

The course was built through a quarry ... the fairways are hardpan and the rough is rougher ... a quality made shot onto the middle of the fairway is often rewarded by bouncing into the woods or some covered ravine... 70 truck loads of dirt would make it one of the best courses in the state -- just being honest.
