Detailed description of Williston Country Club
Williston Country Club is a Public, 9 hole golf course located in Williston, South Carolina.
Williston Country Club first opened for play in 1938. The course was designed by Jim Tarrance.
The course's narrow fairways are lined with pine trees. The signature hole is #3, water comes into play on the left and sand bunkers guard the right. Two of the fairways are doglegs which require shots over trees in order to allow yourself a clear approach to the greens.
Blue tees: par-36, 3,071 yards
Red tees: par-36, 2,324 yards

Member (cart included), played on Saturday, September 2007 at 8am
I was a Member here, but this course now has a reputation for folks cheating the handicap system. It had got to the point where we were not able to attend an SCGA tournament without getting the 3rd degree about handicaps. A few bad apples can spoil things for everyone.
Weekend play can be a real negative, slow play. Often you will get in behind groups of 7-8 people playing together that will not let you play through.
