White Pines golf course first opened for play in 1974. The course expanded from 9 to 18 holes in 1985.

The signature hole at White Pines Golf Course is #16, a 164-yard, par 3, featuring a lateral water hazard that comes into play on the fairway. The most difficult hole on the course is #7, a 414-yard, par 4, because of an extremely narrow fairway. This course's medium-sized greens are slightly sloped, and sand bunkers are spread throughout the entire design
