Florence Country Club, is a Private, 18 hole golf course located in Florence, South Carolina
Florence Country Club was founded in 1924. While the original architect is unknown, the 18-hole course was built in the “Donald Ross" style, using the natural contours of the small 77-acre site. The course was renovated by John LaFoy with work completed in 1986.
This hilly course has a small valley coming into play on a number of holes. For a typically flat region, this course's terrain is quite hilly. Mounds and moguls have been added recently that will cause many uneven lies.
Par for the course is 71. From the back tees the course plays to 6,429 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5,353 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 14, a par-5 that plays to 513 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 4, a par-3 that plays to 142 yards from the back tees.
The toughest hole is #3, a 419-yard, par 4, with a dogleg right fairway. The narrow fairways are bordered by thick line of mature pine trees. The easiest hole is # 10, a 331 yard par-4.
