After 42 years of operation, the course closed March 1, 2014. Mungo Homes, based in Columbia, has several existing developments on the Grand Strand and plans to covert the course to residential property.

Cypress Bay is a nice course. This course represents good value, fun golf, and the pace of play is up to par. Added to this, the staff is really nice.
