Detailed description of Pickens Country Club

Pickens Country Club is a semi-private 18 hole golf course located in Pickens, South Carolina.

This classic old-style course offers lots of challenges, especially on holes #2 and #16, both par 4's, which require accuracy to hit to greens. This is a very hilly course that demands accuracy on short irons. Best Hole: No. 11, a 175-yard par-3 into a sliver of a green guarded by a front-right bunker and severe back-to-front sloping.

Fairway conditions less than nominal, but this is most likely due to the time of year played. Have played this course before during summer months and found it to be an overall nice course.

Would travel: 10-20 Miles, Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Average course for the area, Fair priced based on quality and competitive area pricing
