Detailed description of Prestonwood Country Club, Creek
Prestonwood Country Club is a private, 36-hole golf facility located in Dallas, Texas. The Country Club has two 18-hole golf courses, they are: The Creek Course and The Hills Course.
The Creek Course was the first of the two courses. It opened for play in 1968. The Creek Course was designed by Ralph M. Plummer. The course was renovated in 1986 coinciding with the opening of the second Prestonwood Country Club course.
The Creek Course takes every advantage of the natural terrain, tree lined fairways and White Rock creek that winds itself throughout the entire course.
Prestonwood Country Club, The Creek Course is a par-71 layout that plays to 6,516 yards from the back tees. The course rating is 72.5 with a slope rating of 139.

My husband and I joined Prestonwood in 1971, We have seen many chabges to this course over the years. The trees are huge now and most of the fairways are narrow. Lots of water. Lake, ponds and creek come into play on most holes as well as fairway bunkers. There are some blind shots. It call for good shotmaking skills. Prestonwood members now enjoy two 18 hole golf courses. Prestonwood Creek course and her sister course Prestonwood Hills. The Hills course is slighty easier because of the wide fairways but when the wind howls through the hills it can be just as tough as the Creek course. I love playing both. Our PWGA alternate the nine months of our Women's Association yearly season.
