I love this course. You literally have to use every club in the bag to play this course. The greens used to be very hard, but with the recent improvements, they have taken out a few dumb sand traps, put in a few strategic traps and softened the greens. Love the par 3 third hole. It is a 130 yard par 3 with no sand and no water, but is still a tough par because of the two-tiered green. Also love No. 1, No. 5, No. 13, No. 16, No. 18 . . .If you can shoot an 85 here, you can shoot an 85 just about anywhere. Out of the 60 to 70 courses that I have played in the Dallas metroplex, Meadowbrook is definitely in my Top Ten.

Like some courses, it's difficult to play for the first time, but the rolling hills and layout make it interesting. Some areas are a little bare of grass, but you're not supposed to hit to those areas. The greens were recently sanded; they'll be better in 2-3 weeks. I'd play the course often if I lived in Ft. Worth, but may not drive over from Dallas to play it again. (There are a ton of courses closer.)
