Great layout in relatively good condition at a time when most courses around Houston are showing adverse effect of the drought. Greens are huge and fast.

Great course and staff.

This layout is different than most as it is three 6 hole loops rather than 2 nine hole loops. This takes a little getting used to. The course gives good reward for good shots, but at the same time can cause headaches for shots that miss the fairways. It has a fair amount of difficulty, but with wide fairways and large greens, it offers playability for all handicap levels.

I mentioned pace, because at one point the ranger asked us to pick up our pace-that we were a hole and a half behind. We sped up for a couple of holes until we could no longer see the group behind us. After we walked off 18, I checked the time, and we were done in 3 hrs., forty minutes. That's about 30 minutes better than pace! Not sure what the ranger was talking about, but I didn't check my watch at the time he commented to us about our pace. Maybe it's just as well. Arguing with the ranger rarely works out in your favor! Maybe the guys behind us were big hitters and were just playing a little faster than we were. I play this course a few times/yr. I really like it. I look forward to the next time I can play it!
