Detailed description of Horseshoe Bay Resort, Ram Rock Golf Course
Horseshoe Bay Resort, Ram Rock Golf Course, is a Resort, 18 hole golf course located in Horseshoe Bay, Texas, 40 miles west of Austin and 90 miles from San Antonio.
The Ram Rock Golf Course first opened for play in 1981. The course was designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr.
Horseshoe Bay Resort's Marriott hotel offers golf packages to Slick Rock, Ram Rock and Apple Rock, but Summit Rock is private, for members-only.

Quality shots are a must. Many hazards and OB stakes. Tiny greens make it more difficult.

This Robert Trent Jones course is so difficult it is almost unfair. Narrow landing areas. Traps everywhere. Creeks and ponds around many greens, so no margin for any error on any shot, just like the picture. Very few flat shots. Greens are in great condition. I would rather play the other courses at Horseshoe Bay, Tx.

2nd hardest course in Texas. (TPC Oaks SA is hardest) Greens almost impossible to putt. Narrow entry to greens. Beautiful course, well kept, bent greens. 10-15 strokes harder than any other. This was my 2nd and last time to play it. Play Slick or Apple instead.
