Delaware Springs Golf Course is a Public 18 hole golf course located in Burnet, Texas.
Delaware Springs Golf Course opened for play in 1991. The course was designed by Dave Axlend, Dan Proctor.
The Delaware Springs Golf Course is cradled by the trees and gentle rolling hills near the Highland Lakes in the Texas Hill Country. This links-style course was built on hilly terrain. The greens are undulating, and the fairways are well manicured. The signature hole is #1, a 504-yard, par 5, requiring a shot over a natural spring.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees the course plays to 6,819 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 4,839 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 8, a par-5 that plays to 526 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 5, a par-3 that plays to 176 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 8, the 526 yard par-5 challenge is the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Delaware Springs Golf Course is # 5, the 176 yard par-3.

This is a hidden jewel so that is worth the 1 hour drive for me to get there. The course is in good shape and the greens wonderful to putt. There are some tricky holes on the course so try to play it more than once to get a feel on the options presented on several holes. I really like the course and I am sincere in my praise but I hope it stays in the "not well known" category.

Played at this course several times. Always in great condition. Fairways and Greens always kept to very high standards. 60 mile drive for me but well worth it for the price and condition of the course.

Everybody has their favorites, and Delaware Springs is one of mine. The layout is inviting and non-intimidating, but you still have to hit your shots. Course conditions are ideal right now! The staff are country friendly, and the grill has a GOOD good burger. Enjoy the drive out there from Austin, enjoy the thoughtful little names they give all the holes, and enjoy the whole course by playing the blue tees--it's way too short from the whites. When you put together a course of your favorite holes from the various tracks you play, I bet AT LEAST one of them will come from Delaware Springs.

I have a second home in Burnet County and play this course alot. It is a very nice well maintained public course. It is interesting and reasonably priced. My only real negative is that when your in a sand trap, you never know if it is going to be hard or soft below the surface of the sand. This place just gets better and better. The only fear is it will get too popular causing them to raise prices and maintenance to decrease. These greens were faster than any others I have seen this year. Fairways are super and there were no burned areas in spite of drought. Hamburgers are great and folk there are nice. We just need to keep this place under the radar or it will get over-run.
