Wedgewood Golf Course is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Conroe, Texas.
Wedgewood Golf Course first opened for play in 1988. The course was designed by Robert Von Hagge and Michael Smelek.
The course was originally built to be part of a private club. The course has a unique design; the fairways are narrow, and you will never see the green from off the tee boxes. Water hazards come into play on many holes, so shot accuracy is essential.

I like the pace of play at Wedgewood. The staff very nice. A nice touch that I appreciate is the range balls that are included with greens fees.

Wedgewood is a reasonable golf course. And is in good enough condition with an obvious limited maintenance budget. The greens are average or better. The fairways have decent enough grass. I would just recommend playing the ball up everywhere. Most times that I have played the round has been under 4 hours. The layout is pretty quirky at times. There are several holes that are blind with pretty severe penalties for not having local knowledge. So, don't think that you can just knock it where you should and end up being rewarded for a good shot! lol I have played here several times and will go back again I'm sure. The folks in the clubhouse and pro shop are very nice and it's a friendly 'country' atmosphere. So, if you're in the Conroe area and looking for a reasonably priced round at a course that's friendly and in decent enough shape, check it out.
