This used to be a great establishment but the management is now taking clients for granted. For example, there was no starter or marshall on the course. Players are left to fend for themselves after paying. There were no pin placement sheets on the carts. You are likely to assume the course is using a color scheme until may be after the 3rd hole when it is too late to go back. We finished our round just before 6pm and received a good dose of sprinkler system water while on the 18th green. The Lakes course is beautiful and challenging but there are a lot of blind spots on the course without any system of warning the next set of players when it is ok to take their shots. A good example is hole 18; we had to drive up to see that the coast is clear before we could take our drives, however this did not work for the approach shots. We mistakenly hit into the group ahead and the group behind us hit into us both on the drive and approach.

Course was in great shape. No other course in the area has the elevation changes this course does. Greens were fast. Enjoyed the round. Because of the elevation, there are some great panoramic views of the city.

It has been several years since I played this course and had forgotten how much I liked it. Links layout. No trees, no houses. More undulation that anywhere else in Houston. Was playing in a judge's fundraising tournament, so I have ranked what I know to be the real cost. The greens were phenominal. Of course, any time you make several long putts, one tends to think the greens are great.

Very enjoyable and challenging layout. Greens were below par for the price they are charging at this time, but they still were playable.

This is a great course that is just south of Houston. Water comes into play on many holes. When the wind is blowing, this course is a test of your golf skills.

Got a great deal to play this course for $43.23, normally its a $70+ course. You will be glad you played this course, or their other course, The Highlands.
