Mission Del Lago Municipal Golf Course is a Public 18 hole golf course located in San Antonio, Texas.
The Mission Del Lago Municipal Golf Course first opened for play in 1989. The course was designed by Denis Griffiths.
Mission Del Lago is set near the shores of Mitchell Lake on the flat lands of San Antonio's south side. However, this links-style course is no day at the beach. Its windy, wide open spaces take many trees out of play....but don't relax, more than 120 sand traps and numerous water hazards spread across the course offer consequences for the flaws in your game. And don't forget your short game, you'll need it for Mission's multi-tiered greens. Five sets of tee markers offer a challenge for all skill levels.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees the course plays to 7004 yards. The course rating is 72.6 and it has a slope rating of 127. From the forward tees the course measures 5301 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 2, a par-5 that plays to 561 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 12, a par-3 that plays to 159 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 6, a 435 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 12, a 159 yard par-3.

It was only 103 by the time we finished our round. Considering the dry spell we have had down here. These guys have down a really good job trying to keep everything from burning & dieing. although, there are some spots they've over watered and have turned into mud pits. Maybe they should rethink the drainage in thgose areas. Decent course, no real complaints for a muni course..
