The present day Providence Golf Club first opened for play in 2002. The course was designed by Lester George.
The Providence Golf Club Golf Course has a unique history. The original course at this location was on the Pocoshock Creek property. It closed down in the 1985. A new development team purchased the Pocoshock property and an adjacent parcel of land. The additional acreage hosts six holes with the area of the "original" layout being The original Pocoshock acreage now hosts longer , more spacious holes with a new driving range and short game practice facility.

We played this course on 7/21/10 and the fairways were in immaculate shape,the greens were nice considering the heat wave we have had for month and a half. A little pricey for a weekday rate $42 but we had a discount that saved us a few bucks.Shot 83
