Detailed description of Deer Cove Golf Course

Deer Cove is a Military, 18 hole golf course located in Williamsburg, Virginia. The course is located on Naval Supply Center, Cheatham Annex.

Opportunities are available for civilians to receive a gate pass to access the golf course only. Call the golf shop and request the access form and they will submit it to the security department. Upon approval of your pass, it is automatically renewed every three months. 

Deer Cove first opened for play in 1943.

Deer Cove Golf Course is an 18-hole course with a par 65 measuring 4,439 yards. This course was built on predominantly flat terrain with narrow, tree-lined fairways.  There are no water hazards or sand bunkers on this course.  The greens are small, sloped and fairly fast.  

The signature hole is #9, a 321-yard, par 4, that features a dogleg right fairway.
