Detailed description of Ridges Golf Course
Ridges Golf Course is a Public 18 holes golf course located in Wisconsin Rapids,Wisconsin.
Ridges Golf Course opened for play in 1963. The course was designed by John Murgatroyd. The back nine was added some years ater the front nine opened.
The front nine has more length and man-made hazards than the back. The somewhat shorter back nine has natural hazards. The back nine begins on an actual ridge with a tee shot that overlooks towering pines, the Buena Vista Creek and the valley floor more than 80 feet below. The back nine is wooded and tight. It is often best to leave the driver in your bag when you make the turn to the back nine! The front nine has its challenges, but the back nine is undeniably different.
