Bear Creek Golf, is a public, 36-hole, golf facility located in Chandler, Arizona. The facility has two 18-hole golf courses, The Bear Championship Course and The Cub Executive Course.

The Bear Creek Golf Courses first opened for play in 2000. The courses were designed by Jack Nicklaus.
The Bear Championship Course stretches to 6,825 yards from the back tees and plays to a par 71. The Bear was designed as a championship length inland "links-style" course, and features rolling fairways, strategic bunkering and well-conditioned greens.
Similar challenges can be found on both courses, but the Cub Course is especially ideal for beginners, juniors, and families. The layout features rolling fairways and carefully contoured greens that are framed with interesting swales and collection areas. The holes vary in length to give golfers a chance to hit every club in their bag. There are also extensive practice facilities at the Bear Creek Golf Complex including a short game area with bunker, two putting greens, and a full grass driving range
The Cub Executive Course is a fun, sporty par 59, 3,501-yard course.

The staff on the course were rude and overbearing. We started out a hole behind with our foursome following a threesome and another threesome following us. The marshal continuously warned us of slow play (not true) which made the round tense and un-enjoyable. In addition, there are no watering stations on the course - dangerous in Arizona. Every other course in this area has watering stations on the course.

Played Bear Creek last year and the greens were thinly seeded, untrue and slow, and the traps had no sand. BUT, in December the greens were overseeded much better, they were true, softer and quicker to putt on, and the bunkers were all redone with great sand in them. When I was asked in the winter of 2010 if I would play Bear Creek more frequently, I said not until the greens and the bunkers were fixed....they are fixed, and I will play it regularly now as it is a good test with much better grass on the greens.And the price was very competitive.

The course is in the best condition I've every seen it in. The fairways and rough are in as good a shape as any other course this time of year. The green are thick and soft but need to get cut down one more time. Probably will happen in the next 2 weeks.

Bear Creek is a decent course with good value -- normally not more than $40. The overseed had come in good, but they seem to have lost a lot with the recent freezes. They are overwatering so the areas around the greens are mushy soft which is a real issue when trying to chip. Dont expect much in the way of staff, pro-shop, ambiance, etc. This is good course for locals -- definitely not trying to draw the top dollar visitors. A good course for 1-round (low priced) if you have several days to play golf. Other GREAT courses in the area include Whirlwind (both courses) and Ocotillo. Of course these are about 2X the price -- but worth it.

Pace of play was very good. Best part was the greens conditions--putts ran true, no bouncing, good slopes and small ridges. Greens could have been a little faster, but recent reseed made them keep it a little longer (downhill putts weren't too challenging).
