Pueblo Del Sol Golf & Country Club first opened for play in 1976.
The course, nestled near the foothils of the Huachuca Mountains, was built at approximately 4,200 feet elevation. Water comes into play on almost half of the holes.
One of the more difficult holes is #15, a 443-yard, par 4, with a wash that comes into play across the fairway about 230-yards out. To prevent a lay-up shot, your tee shot needs to be about 275 yards long. If you play it safe and short to avoid the wash, you leave yourself with at least a 225 yard approach shot. Either way, making a par on this hole is a tough proposition.
The 18-hole Championship course at the Pueblo Del Sol Country Club facility in Sierra Vista, Arizonaplays to 7,074 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72.
