What an unfortunate waste of a nice layout. I don't know if there is an official superintendent at Eagle Crest, but if so - he either has little education on golf course management, does not know how to apply it, or just doesn't care. The greens are a complete mess with large burnout areas and overgrown on the edges of nearly every green, plus infested grasses and smaller burnout areas through the middle of the greens. Yes, they are bent grass; but there is no excuse for a course as this to have such poor green maintenance. On top of that, there were weeds everywhere which are noticeable from the front entrance of the neighborhood to the clubhouse anywhere it is obvious the golf course is responsible for the upkeep. The actual neighborhood yards look well maintained for the most part, but it looks like the golf course isn't doing their part or the person in charge of maintenance just doesn't care (weeds are not rocket science like green maintenance). Besides the layout/views, the two positives for me were the zoysia fairways and the young pro who was friendly and seemed top notch in all regards. I would play the course again in a heartbeat for the layout/views, but ONLY if the maintenance issues were addressed by hiring someone competent on how to correctly maintain a golf course.

Zoysia fairways and greens. I've never seen it crowded.

Zoysia fairways and tees are beautiful. Two greens are a little bare, but the rest are ok. Staff always friendly and courteous. Nice view of the river valley.
