Detailed description of Ashwood Golf Course

Ashwood Golf Course formerly named Jess Ranch Golf Course, is a Public, 27 hole golf facility located in Apple Valley, California. The facility has 3 nine-hole courses, Mesquite, Sycamore, and Birch. They can be combined in 3 different 18-hole combinations, Mesquite/Sycamore - par-66, Birch/Mesquite - par-65, and Sycamore/Birch - par-65.

Ashwood first opened for play in 1993 as an 18-hole golf course, Mesquite/Sycamore. The course was designed by David Rainville. In 2006, the Birch 9-hole addition opened making this a 27-hole facility.

The course(s) play to a maximum par-66. There are no par-5s. But don't let this fool you. Ashwood provides all the up and down difficulty you will need to test your skill.

this course is fun to play regardless of the shorter length, great design with above average driving range, the senior rate to walk is $17 and it takes about 3 hours, i'm working on my game so this course is perfect-only negative is the duck residue on the fairways and around the greens on some of the holes

Bottom line: I would play again, Better than average course for the area, Fair priced based on quality and competitive area pricing

ALL OTHER GOLF COURSES HAVE MONTHLY RATES $50 LESS PER MONTH THAN ASHWOOD. THEY CHARGE $2600 AS A NON RESIDENT OF APPLE VALLEY PER YEAR. WAY TOO HIGH!!! ALL PRICES ARE BASED ON WATER COST, OVER WATERING RAISES THE PRICE BECAUSE OF MR. POULTY'S OUTSIDE PRESSURE TO CHARGE MORE TO COVER THE WATER USED. WILL NOT BE A MEMBER THERE NEXT YEAR THE MANAGEMENT AND CONTROL IS ALL SMOKE AND MIRRORS.
