Meadowlark Golf Course, is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Huntington Beach, California
Meadowlark Golf Course opened in 1928. The course was designed by William P. Bell.
Meadowlark Golf Course has rolling terrain with tree lined fairways and more than a fair share of water hazards. The course is very tight, so you must keep an eye out for the golfers on adjacent holes. The greens are fast, short and very deceiving. At least half of the holes have sand bunkers incorporated into their designs. The course is very busy and you will find players of all skill levels visiting here.
Par for the course is 70. From the back tees the course plays to 5,568 yards. From the foward tees the course plays to 5,251 yards and a par of 71. The longest hole on the course is # 18, a par-5 that plays to 491 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 16, a par-3 that plays to 160 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 3, a 435 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Meadowlark Golf Course is # 11, a 284 yard par-4.

A challenging course with water hazards and hills. Tends to play at a good pace except when the Men's club is on the course; the Men's club go out in five somes and tend to be very slow. Five plus hours if you get stuck behind them. The staff is excellent, very friendly and helpful.

Par 70. Shorter in length but still some challenges (various lies, some water hazards, smaller greens, domed greens). Bunkers are in decent condition. No grass driving range options, mats only.

Meadowlark over seeded the fairways in October with excellent results. Unfortunatly water drainage remains a problem.

A friendly and responsive staff. A great layout for seniors like me. Yet, it can be challenging for younger players.

The first time I played here, I was a walk-on and the starters were so friendly that I returned often. Now I play the back nine nearly every week before I go to work. If I get out of work early enough, I play as many holes as I can. I rarely play any course on the weekend. The course is well maintained and the price is very competitive - $21.00 for a senior to walk18.

Not a long course but always fun to play because of the layout and elevation changes. Course conditions are very good since new management took over in '09. Staff in the pro shop, restaurant and bar are friendly and service is good. Best to play weekdays or early on weekends, otherwise plan on a long round due to its popularity with locals. Good course for walking even with some moderate elevation changes. Good value compared with other courses in the area.

Every time I play Meadowlark Golf Course it is a different experience. There is now new management in place, hope it helps.
Last round was 1 hour late in teeing off, and no carts or pull carts were available. Of course this does give you time to get to know the bartender, which is a good thing. I recommend a hard hat cuz fairways are close to each other and for some reason hackers love to play here.

I played Meadowlark for the first time in a couple of years. Having chosen Friday afternoon, I was hoping that the pace of play would be good, but it was very slow - - 5.5 hours. The greens are very challenging, especially because many golfers don't repair their ball marks. Maybe it will improve when they punch and sand the greens. There are several water hazard holes that are challenging. As I approached the 18th green, there was a wedding ceremony taking place just behind the green - pretty cool! I'll probably play there again.
