The Vintage Club is a Private, 36 hole golf facility located 15 miles southeast of Palm Springs in Indian Wells, California. This club has two regulation eighteen hole Tom Fazio designed courses that provide outstanding views of the adjacent mountains, they are The Desert Course and The Mountain Course.
The Mountain Club opened for play in 1981 followed by the Desert Club in 1984. Both courses were designed by Tom Fazio.
The terrain on both courses varies, as their names imply.
The Mountain Course is, 6,907 yards (par 72), features like huge moguls and deep pot bunkers. The signature hole on the Mountain Course is #16, a 402-yard, par 4, requiring a tee shot over water to a dogleg right fairway, then an approach shot to a small green.
The Desert Course, 6,271 yards (par 72), is a links-style design where most of the rough is composed of natural desert vegetation. The course has several large sand bunkers, mostly with high overhanging lips. A number of the undulating greens are double and triple-tiered. #16, a short, 143 yard, par 3, requires a tee shot over water that will drop fifty feet to the green. Another difficult par 3 is the 209 yard #5, that also requirsg a tee shot over water. However, there is room on the right to bail out if you can't make the distance.
There are 511 planned residential properties. Homes range in price between $975,000 and $10 million. Vacant home sites range in price between $2.9 million and $4.5 million.
