Pace WAY too slow. Walked off on 12 after 4 hours. Never saw a marshall. Sent an email and was informed they keep uo with it via GPS. Apparantly noone was paying atention. Were offered a discount for next round but there are too many better choices in the area. The fairways were extremely thin. Simply not worth it.

The rack rate is overpriced for the course conditions. I had a voucher from Costco, so I didn't have to pay the greens fees on the day of play. The fairways had been closely cropped, maybe for reseeding, and were like concrete.

This is, in general, a very good course, though they are very proud of the course and it is reflected in the pricing. I happened to get a particularly good deal, but it is way overpriced for what one receives. While this is a course defintely worth playing, there are other courses in the area that are comparable, but more competetively priced.

Played this course on a Sunday afternoon. Pace of play was great. Finished in under 4.5 hours with a foursome. I am a players club member here so play it a lot. I like the course layout. It was in great shape after hosting an OC open golf tournament this weekend.

even though this course is an "interesting" course with a layout that is challenging, the staff people tend to be jerks now. it used to be a great place to gold in 2008-2009 when the staff was nice and fun and the worst price was in the $80's, not in the $100's like now. there are a lot of players on this course that *should not* be playing on this course because they are not advanced golfers. this course hosts big tournaments in the area and has the potential for being a great course, but they have had lots of problems with diseased greens and spots around the greens that look ugly and are under repair for long periods of time. maybe they fixed it by now?

I've played this course a few times and always enjoy it. The layout is fun and the course is in good shape. A little spendy at $100. $65 to $80 would be about the right value.

The fairways were mostly brown (not green) and some places the grass was actually dead in large areas. I've played this course many times since it opened 14 years ago; and I do like the layout and the challenge; but this time I was with out of town guests that specically said they would never play SF, again. Also, over the years I've come to expect some form of exception to any deal SF advertises. If you see one, I suggest you read the fine print, and also call the pro shop to verify that you are getting what you think you should.

We told free range balls but they charged us when we got there.Fairways were 2 out of 10 at best,we were told by staff course in GREAT shape, they must have been talking about another course.Could not put carts on faiways we had to walj to ball,we were never told this..We went out of our way on holidays to play there ,what a waste of time would not recommend this place to any other Canadians on holidays.Totally disappointed..

The marshal was my worst experiance I ever have in any golf course, he was verey rude, so imagine you start your game after dealing that marshal who's been there for ever.

Just to expensive....I am sure the cost is high because of where they are located (Irving = expensive property costs), so they can't change it...but I have learned that if you travel just a little bit more...Maybe 45 minutes extra you will find course that you will always remember. You will also pay a lot less, and have the right to golf as a two some with no wait. This course is good if you have the money and don't feel like driving 20-45 more minutes. Now if you don't golf very much, and you go maybe once a month and want a cool course, go play Stawberry Farms. If not look Inland, courses harder and more enjoyable.

Interesting layout. Repeated play doesn't get old. Good condition. Fair twilight and super-twilight pricing. Grass range. Great ambiance. Great clubhouse restaurant food.

Played here after a week of heavy rain making all the course very soft, but still in excellent shape. Their early AM "back 9 & breakfast" is a deal at $40. Very challening -- the narrow fairways demand conentration on straight drives.

From the tips, the most difficult course around. A great design and after struggling for many years with the consistency of the greens, the past few years have been very good. Fairways a little sketchy at times. The pro shop staff are helpful and make you feel as though they are glad you are there. Range is excellent however they recently went to low compreesion balls.

Although I have played here many times, it is not my favorite by a long shot. Often, the pace of play is terrible, and the course marshals do nothing to speed up the slow groups. I once quit after 9 holes (3+ hours) when I drove to the 10th tee and found a foursome on the green, a foursome on the fairway, and 3 foursomes ahead of me waiting to tee off. I was so pissed off, I went back to the pro shop and demanded a refund. Also, the restrictions on the course re "protected vegetation" border on the absurd. Great practice facility.

With the sensitive environment in mind this course is beautifully laid out in a lush deep canyon. It is quiet and beautiful and a definite challenge for all levels of play.

I like Strawberry Far,s and have played 3-4 times a year fo rthe past few years. The pace of play was good, finiahcing in 4 hours 15 minutes. Would have gone even faster had the starter grouped foursomes instead of twosomes and threesomes. The smaller groups always catch the foursomes and then it backs up. Overall, good experience.
