Fresno West is a long flat 18-hole golf course about 20 miles west of Fresno, near the city of Kerman. Although there are plenty of trees and some rough, the fairways are spacious and the greens large. The challenge from Fresno West comes from wind and water. The water comes into play both off the tee and around the greens.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees the course plays to 6,959 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 6,000 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 3, a par-5 that plays to 590 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 16, a par-3 that plays to 147 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 7, a 407 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Javier's Fresno West Golf Course is # 16, the 147 yard par-3.
November 2012, the course closed. The 160 acre course was sold to a pistachio farmer.
