Dragonfly Club, previously named Riverbend Golf Club, is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Madera, California.
Riverbend golf course first opened for play in 1999. Riverbend is a signature course designed by Gary Roger Baird.
Riverbend golf course and is located minutes north of Fresno in a in a meadow near the banks of the San Joaquin River, although no holes are on the river per se. The course is marked by open space and big old Oak trees and each hole has personality. The finishing holes are wonderful and challenging. The front nine is a bit target golf and risk reward golf: the back nine open spaces for the grip and rip crowd. The course's routing brilliantly balances its links style with beautiful valley oaks, strategically placed water features, abundant sand traps and waste areas, pristine habitat and scenic views of the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
Please take note that the Dress Code is strictly enforced. Collared shirts and soft spikes are required. No denim or jeans of any kind are permitted. There are no exceptions to this policy.

The only negatives are poorly groomed bunkers and minimal clubhouse facilities. Otherwise, an excellent course and one of the best semi-private courses in Central California.

All things considered, the best course I've ever played. The condition of the course is always outstanding. Even when I don't break 100, I leave thinking how much fun I had. My only issues are the condition of the practice ball dispenser, plus the fact that the green fee is the same whether you ride or walk, which I feel is unfair.
